Risima Risimkin is one of the leading Macedonian choreographers. She is in a constant movement in direction of development of contemporary dance here. So far, she has made around twenty authorial projects, which established her as one of the most fruitfulness Macedonian creators in the dance area. Her performances are graded as “performance – boundary stone of the Macedonian dance history” (Stravinsky Diary 2004) or “a new era in Macedonian dance” (MEMENTO 2002), and the foreign critics name her as “the Macedonian Pina Baush”.
